This dresser came with my hubby when we got married, so did the bird that’s sitting on top of the dresser, but that’s another story. Anyway, the dresser worked fine in our closet, until we moved & it no longer fit in the closet. It was a mess, the drawers were broken, it had some scratches, it was in need of some TLC. I threw the drawers away since they could not be salvaged. I found a pretty tablecloth from Marshalls on clearance for 5 bucks decided to make a skirt out of it. I picked up a small shower curtain rod from Wal-Mart for 4 bucks & ran home to start the project. I’m pretty happy with the turnout:

Spiffy makeover! Nice neutral colors. You know another great place for fabric finds for cheap is Goodwill!
You have your own pin cushion! Wow, you’re so domesticated!
miracleshappen: Thanks for the tip, I will check out Goodwill next time!
rachelolimb: Ha-a gift from my sweet aunt who is very domesticated herself!
I wish I could make something so beautiful!
Patricia: You totally can, it’s really simple!
