If you’ve ever been to Oregano’s you’ve probably had there incredible dessert, called pazookie. It’s basically a pizza cookie, half baked served warm with vanilla ice cream on top. It’s so so good! I made it at home along with our homemade pizza I showed you the other day. It went perfectly and was a hit with our friends.
Chocolate Chip Pazookie
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 t baking soda
- 1/2 t salt
- 3/4 cup butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 T vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 3/4 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Sift together the flour, baking soda and salt; set aside. In a medium bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar and white sugar until well blended. Beat in the vanilla, egg, and egg yolk until light and creamy. Mix in the sifted ingredients until just blended. Stir in the chocolate chips. Spread dough into a cake pan and bake for 15 to 20 minutes until the edges are lightly toasted. You want this to be ooey gooey so be sure not to over bake. Spoon into bowls and top with vanilla ice cream.
You will have some leftover cookie dough if you only bake 1 pan of pazookie, so I made my extra dough into chocolate chip cookies.
