Camping & granola go together like peanut butter & jelly. Here’s my recipe –

Granola

  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 t vanilla extract
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 4 cups oatmeal
  • 1 cup sliced almonds

Preheat oven to 275 F. Combine brown sugar & water in bowl & microwave 2 1/2 minutes & stir until sugar is dissolved. Add vanilla & salt. In large bowl combine oats, nuts & brown sugar mixture. Stir until mixed. Spread onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper & bake for about 30 minutes, flipping granola half way through the cooking process.

*Add dried fruit or other nuts if you’d like*

Enjoy with yogurt for extra yumminess!
