My hubby & I had my family over for breakfast the other day & this sauce was a hit atop of our buttermilk waffles. Not too sweet, these blueberries were plump & exploded when they hit our mouth!

Blueberry breakfast sauce

  • 2 cups fresh blueberries
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 T lemon juice

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine all ingredients, bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer. Continue to cook 8-10 minutes until saucy.

*This was swell for breakfast, but would be a delight on top on vanilla ice cream*
