So my hubby & I have been in the market for a new couch for quite some time now. We’ve put off buying once mostly because I couldn’t make up my mind of what I wanted. Now years later I’ve narrowed the search down to two! I really like the look of the upolstered couch, but am worried with babies on our future that the couch will look dirty & grungy in no time, you know will all the drool, spit up, spills, etc. Both are very similar in style and bone structure so I think it’s a matter of fabric here… tell me what you think!

I think the leather couch looks very clean and modern but I know from experience that upolstered couches are so much more comfy. Also, I’ve found that oxy-clean is the best couch cleaner by far! We have off white couches that get dirty fast but oxy always cleans them up really well :)

I wouldn’t recommend putting eggs on the table, like in the picture.
I like option A. Mostly because it seems a lot more comfortable. You could always scotch guard it! But when you do have kids you will just have to get used to things being a little more dingy! Haha, every stain is a memory!
I love the leather but I have a fabric couch that was scotch guarded and even red wine has come out so Im sure some spit up will too!
The leather LOOKS nice…but if I had to choose one to SIT on, I’d definitely choose the fabric. And really…in my mind…that is the PRIMARY purpose of a couch. The looks are just secondary : )
Upholstered all the way! Sitting on a leather sofa often feels like you’re slowly sliding onto the floor, and tossing a throw or blanket over the couch when the kiddos come is always an option (or just springing for a professional cleaning once in a while)- it’s totally worth years of lounging in comfort!
